The Music Teachers’ Board are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Sikh Sacred Music Syllabus, Books & Exams.
This syllabus allows learners of Sikh Sacred Music to be able to take graded qualifications from Pre-Grade to Grade 8, recognising the achievements of learners of this music tradition to for the first time and providing them with the opportunity to get UCAS points for Grades 6-8.
The development of these new exams have been in collaboration with the South Asian Music Committee who are made up of representatives and organisations who are at the forefront of Sikh Sacred Music tuition around the world.
The Pre-Grade exam syllabus has been available for learners since September 2024, with the other grades being released over the coming months. Digital & Physical books for Pre-Grade are also available for purchase from the MTB website bookshop.
